Yes. Specter uses OS-level content protection to make its window invisible to any screen-sharing software — including Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex, and OBS. When you share your screen, Specter simply does not appear.
Specter supports three LLM providers: Gemini 2.0 Flash (the default — fastest and most cost-effective), GPT-4o (OpenAI, excellent for complex reasoning), and Claude 3.5 Sonnet (Anthropic, outstanding for nuanced long-form answers).

Yes. Specter is fully cross-platform. macOS users get DMG for both Apple Silicon (arm64) and Intel (x64). Windows users get an NSIS installer. Linux users get an AppImage and a .deb package.
Race Mode fires two LLM providers simultaneously with every detected question. Specter streams the response from whichever provider returns its first token first, then discards the slower connection. In testing, Race Mode reduced 95th-percentile time-to-first-token by approximately 40%. To use Race Mode you can either (a) bring your own second API key in Settings, or (b) purchase the Race Mode Add-on (₹299/month) which adds GPT-4o-mini as an automatic secondary — no extra key needed.
Yes. Enable Hold Mode before your session starts. In Hold mode, Specter queues detected questions without streaming answers immediately — you review queued questions at your own pace, on a secondary device or a screen angled away from the interviewer.
No. Specter processes everything locally on your device. Questions, answers, and session history are all stored in local JSON files. Nothing is sent to Tattva Mind's servers. API calls go directly from your machine to your chosen LLM provider.
